Thank You Volunteers!

By Sacher Dawson, Board President & Hope Farm Executive Director

From January to May, we have had a record number of volunteers serving to make our three campuses safer, more beautiful, and better for our young men. Because we pour our resources into our boys and have a limited number of staff members at each campus, we depend on volunteers in a big way!

Thank You Volunteers!

We have had volunteers give up their weekends to clear off land so that we can build a playground. We have had volunteers build a pergola so that our guys can eat and meet outside. We have had volunteers plant gardens and work with the boys to grow flowers and vegetables. We have had two groups to donate vehicles to two of our moms who had to scramble to pick up their boys from programming each evening. We have had groups help run our Spring Break basketball clinic, coach the boys, and then clean up after the campers go home. We had a group repair one of our gates that had been damaged.

We have had volunteers in our reading lab spending one-on-one time with our boys every single day. We have had volunteers take our students on life-changing trips outside of the city. The list goes on and on and we are thankful for every single group and individual who helped us this spring!
